In a rake-wheel type of haymaking machine having a two-part frame, one part being connected to the tractor and the other being invertible on the first and carrying at least two groups of rake-wheels, the rake-wheels of a group are carried by a member 7, 8 which extends from the rear side of the leading rakewheel to the front side of that which follows. The movable frame-part 11 is V-shaped in plan and carries bearings 9, 10 at the ends of its limbs. Stub-shafts 26A, 27A are rotatably mounted in the bearings and are secured to the beams 7, 8 which also carry adjustable sleeves 21 on which the rake-wheels 1-4 are obliquely mounted. stub-shaft 15 is received within a sleeve 16 on the frame-part 17 which is attached to tractor hitch-links 19A; the frame part 17 includes a standard 18 attachable to the upper hitch-link 19B and locking means 28 to secure the frame-part 11 in either of two mirror-image positions (Figs. 1 and 2), the rake-wheel-carrying sleeves having also been inverted in turning from the position of Fig. 1 to that of Fig. 2. A further position (Fig. 3) is also obtainable by rotating the stub-shafts 26A, 27A through 180 degrees in their sleeves.
