A furnace draught inducing unit comprises an air blower operatively connected to a venturi assembly formed from tubular members 11, 12, Fig. 1, the member 11 terminating in a lip 14 extending parallel to the axis of the member. The unit is shown connected into flue piping joining a furnace F and a chimney S and comprises a pipe 10 housing the members 11, 12, which are shaped and arranged so that an annular nozzle 16, through which air may be blown towards the chimney, is formed between them. The space within the pipe 10 surrounding the member 11 forms a plenum chamber A into which, via an aperture in the pipe, air is forced by a blower 23.
