Class 25 [Also in Group XI] The terminal of a balanced flue arrangement in which the centroids of the orifices of the exhaust gas duct and surrounding air inlet duct are offset relative to each other comprises a plate 5 covering part of the opening of the air inlet duct 2, a plane or curved baffle 7 attached to the end of the flue duct 4, of such size that the area of its projection in the plane of the air inlet opening is not less than the area of the opening, and a part spherical deflector 10 supported in front of the flue duct 4. In a modification, Fig. 11, a baffle disc is secured to the flue duct 4, spaced from the end of the air inlet 2, and a second disc 15, spaced from the first disc and leaving an opening round the flue duct, causes a suction effect to increase the dispersion of the flue gases. A part spherical deflector 12 is supported in front of the flue duct.
