Abstract

792,363. Two-part couplings. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. June 1, 1955 [June 1, 1954], No. 16235/54. Class 38 (1). In a socket connector of the kind having a rectilinearly movable, T-shaped shutter 6 beneath a cover 4 and operated by the earth pin of a plug, the shutter has riveted thereto a blade spring 9 having a sloping part 10 which serves as the cam surface for engagement by the earth pin, and a reversely bent part 11 which engages a groove 12 in the earth contact 2 and serves to bias the shutter to its operative position. In the inoperative position of the shutter the part 11 lies in the groove 12. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 750,482.
