Abstract

812,890. Two-part couplings. VOLEX ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS Ltd., and HUGHES, J. G. K. Sept. 26, 1955 [Sept. 24, 1954], No. 27601/54. Class 38 (1). In a shuttered socket a T-shaped earth-pin-operated shutter 22 has a cam member 25 interlocked therewith and carrying a compression spring 32. The shutter assembly is slidable in a recess in the underside of the socket cover 10 and is retained therein by a plate 33, spring 32 acting between one end of a groove 31 in the recess and one end of the cam member to bias the shutter to its operative position.
