789,507. Exhaust silencers. BURTON, L. J. Sept. 26, 1956, No. 29366/56. Class 7(2) In a silencer comprising two complementary pressed metal parts A<SP>1</SP>, A<SP>2</SP> provided with peripheral flanges and welded together to form a hollow casing and a central, longitudinally-extending partition B, the latter has extending at right-angles thereto and alternately on opposite sides thereof a number of baffles E pressed out of the partition to provide D-shaped openings in the partition so that the gases are constrained to flow in a sinuous path from the inlet C to the outlet F of the silencer
