785,227. Boxes. DRING, Ltd., J. Nov. 25, 1955 [Jan. 19, 1955], No. 1670/55. Class 18. A carrier comprises a cradle with two hollow arms 4, 5 constructed from a blank in which the inner 10, 10<SP>1</SP> outer 8, 8<SP>1</SP> and free-end 9, 9<SP>1</SP> walls of the arms 4, 5 and their connecting portion 7 are all formed by a series of relatively foldable interconnected panels arranged end-to-end to form a continuous strip, and side flaps 14, 14<SP>1</SP>, 12, 12<SP>1</SP> with co-operating locking means 17, 13, 13<SP>1</SP> are provided on the walls 8, 8<SP>1</SP> and portion 7 to hold the arms 4, 5 rigidly braced together when the cradle is erected while the inner walls are resilient and adapted to receive a fragile article. An Easter egg is carried in a cradle, Fig. 1, formed by folding a cardboard blank, Fig. 4, being resiliently supported in holes or recesses in parallel, hollow limbs 4, 5 and is further located by a hole or recess in a tray 24 folded from a rectangular blank and inserted between the limbs 4, 5 against the panel 7. Interlocking oblique tongues 18 brace the sloping panels 9, 9<SP>1</SP> and tongues 17 engage curved slots 13, 131 to lock the panels 8, 81 at right angles to the panel 7. The holes for receiving the egg may be replaced by H-shaped slots and a flanged lid may be provided.
