Abstract

A carrier pack for collapsible or unassembled articles of furniture is formed from a blank having two central transverse scorings 6a spaced apart a distance corresponding to the width of the article to be carried to define a base 14 of the pack, side panels 15a, 15b defined between the central transverse scorings and outer transverse scorings 12a, 12b and cover panels 17. The blank has three central longitudinal cuts defining therebetween two longitudinal strips 16 attached to the side panels by inclined scorings 10a to 10d extending between the ends of the cuts. On erecting the side panels, the longitudinal strips are folded out of the plane of the blank to form lateral retaining elements extending between the side panels for retaining an article introduced between the side panels from above. Tabs 19 on one cover panel are inserted in slots 20 in the other cover panel to close the pack. <IMAGE>
