Abstract

A folded cardboard packing box has a pallet built into base. The box is formed by folding and fixing flaps, but the two level form of the base is constructed by folding the flaps on the bottom edges of the sides (12) to give the two slots or gutters, and the flaps on the other two sides (11) are split and folded at different levels. A pallet piece (19) is folded to the required shape and fitted inside the box. The rectangular cross-section ends (9) can be fitted with suitable reinforcing strips (10) having a V-shaped cross-section.
