Abstract

The folded cardboard packaging tray consists of a rectangular base (1), longitudinal sides made in two parts (7, 15) joined at a fold line (11) and vertical end pieces (8). The assembly is held together by locking pieces (23, A, B,) attached to the hexagonal end pieces (8). Each end piece (8) has a flap (28) cut into it. The flap is attached at one line (26) and is folded inwards and upwards to form a triangular shaped reinforcement for the top piece (16) attached to the end (8). The flap has a tongue (30) which fits obliquely into a slot (32) in the top piece (16).
