Abstract

1280819 Cartons WILLIAM W CLELAND Ltd 10 Sept 1969 [18 Sept 1968] 44333/68 Heading B8P A carton having a " crash end " formed from end flaps 6, 7, and 8, 9 and having portions 10, 12 secured by adhesive to adjacent flaps has at, at least one end, cuts 14 or slots or V-shapedcut outs which facilitate insertion of an Easter egg or electric light bulb after both ends of the carton have been erected. By squeezing the carton to a diamond shape (Fig. 3) the egg or bulb can be forced past the flexible flaps 8, 9 without straining the glued corners. Additional cuts can be made in the flaps 8, 9 to increase their flexibility.
