Abstract

564,518. Partitioned boxes. CHAPMAN, Ltd., H. W., and BATTSON, H. Feb. 24, 1943, No. 3008. [Class 18] A partition-forming panel of the shape shown in Fig. 2 is secured to a cardboard blank for forming a box shown in Fig. 1 by stitching or adhering strip 14 of the panel to strip 10 of the blank. On erecting the box, projections 17 on the partition enter slits 19 to form a 3-ply partition ; tongues 8 are inserted in slots 9 to hold the box erect. Handle portions 16 may be provided. The box need not be collapsable. Ventilation apertures 22 may be provided. The container may be used for the transport of fruit.
