778,094. Disc brakes. TEVES, H., and TEVES, E. A., [trading as TEVES MASCHINEN-UND ARMATURENFABRIK KOMM.- GES., A.]. June 10, 1955 [July 1, 1954], No. 16788/55. Class 103 (1). In an hydraulically operated " spot-type " disc brake, the hydraulic cylinder 5 and the piston 16 are floatingly supported on bell crank levers 4, 14 pivotally connected at 15 and 19 respectively with one of the flat brake shoes 2 and a pair of yokes 3, 13 span the bell crank levers and both flat brake shoes 2 and 12 ; brake shoe 12 being actuated directly through yokes 3, 13 and the other shoe 2 being adjusted by virtue of the reaction between the yokes and the bell crank levers. The brake shoes 2, 12 are carried on pins 8 and 9, mounted on fixed brake carrier 10, such as to be independently axially displaceable thereon.
