Abstract

770,053. Eccentrics. LINSINGEN, M. VON., [trading as BOCHUMER EISENHUTTE HEINTZMANN & CO.]. Feb. 5, 1954 [Feb. 25, 1953], No. 3436/54. Class 122 (I). [Also in Group XXVIII] In a radial cylinder reciprocating pump, the pistons are connected to shoes 8, or engage a bush, contacting an eccentric ring 5 mounted to rotate on an eccentric 4 which has two recesses 17 containing spiral springs 6 which are connected at their ends to the eccentric and eccentric ring so that as the pressure of the liquid pumped rises the eccentric ring is moved relatively to the eccentric to reduce the stroke of the pistons. A pin 18 operating in a groove 19 limits the relative movement between the parts 4, 5. In an alternative form, a single spiral spring is employed.
