757,453. Reciprocating pumps. COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS), Ltd. Oct. 14, 1954 [July 14, 1953], No. 19535/53. Class 102(1). A reciprocating pump comprises a stepped cylinder 10, 11, and a piston 162 which is a sliding fit in the cylinder portions 11 and an annular piston 17 which slides on the piston 162 and is urged against an abutment 163 by a spring 18. As the delivery pressure rises, the piston 17 ceases to reciprocate. An inlet port 19 is provided and a sealing ring 14 is provided in the cylinder portion 11. The pumps may be used for supplying pit props.
