[Class 122 (v)] [Also in Group XXVIII] A device for sealing the shaft 44 of a pump (see Group XXVIII) comprises an elastic ring 62 fitted in a groove in the shaft against which a ring 63 is pressed by a sleeve 64 engaging a nut 65. A bead is formed on the sleeve 64 to abut the lapped surface of the ring 63. Specification 588,615. [Group XXVIII]. is referred to.
