Classes 20(3) and 137 An angularly adjustable ventilation panel for use on vehicles, particularly omnibuses, comprises an upper fixed outwardly inclined glass panel 3 mounted in the upper portion of a window frame 2, and a lower glass ventilation panel 4 which is hinged at its lower edge to a part 6 on a cross bar 9 for angular movement between end plates 7 of the frame 2, a ventilation aperture 8 being provided between the lower edge of the fixed panel 3 and the top edge of the movable panel 4. To adjust the inclination of the panel 4 a U- section bracket 10, projecting into the interior of the vehicle, is fixed to the middle of the cross bar 9, a U-sectiun lever 13, extending upwardly substantially parallel to the panel 4, being pivoted on a cross pin 12 mounted between extensions 11 of the sides of the housing 10. A nut 18, having trunnions 19 which swivelly engage slots 20 in the sides of the lever 13, threadedly engages a horizontal screwed rod 21 which passes through a fixed bearing 23 housed in the bracket 10 so as to be capable of rotation while being immovable axially. The upper end of the lever 13 is conncted at 15 to one end of a link 14, the other end of which, is connected at 16, to a bracket 17 secured to the top edge of the panel 4. By rotating a knob 22, fixed to the end of the rod 21 projecting from the bracket 10, the nut 18 is moved along the rod 21 which, by means of the lever 13 and the link 14, imparts angular movement to the panel 4. In the closed position the upper edge of the panel 4 engages a weather strip, secured along the bottom edge of the fixed panel 3.
