Abstract

759.797. Liquid-blast switches. ALLISCHALMERS MANUFACTURING CO. April 21, 1954 [April 27, 1953], No. 11561/54. Class 38(5) In a circuit-breaker as described in Specification 759,794, the arcing electrode 48 is in the form of a disc having probes 53 which may lie in the same or different planes. The resistance-current arc which persists after extinction of the main interrupting arc is extinguished by a blast of liquid through a nozzle. Specifications 759,796 and 759,798 also are referred to.
