[Class 38 (v)] In a gas-blast, nozzle-contact switch having the contacts shunted by a resistance d introduced by means of a spark gap, the electrode c<1> of the latter that is connected to the resistance is arranged furthest downstream of the blast, whereas the other c<2> (or several others) is a rod-shaped extension of the nozzle contact a, and is to one side of the flow-axis in the ionized space on the down-stream side.
