Abstract
753,578. Rotary Pumps or motors. POSTUMUS, R. Oct. 18, 1954 [Aug. 5. 1353], No. 21661/53. Class 110(2) A geared vane type of pump or motor has segmental vanes 9 connected to an eccentrically mounted driving disc 12 by means of coupling members, each comprising a pair of cylindrical shaft portions 16, 17 secured together, the shaft 16 rotatably engaging a cylindrical bore 16a in a vane 9 and the corresponding shaft 17 rotatably engaging a cylindrical bore 17a in the disc 12. A central hub 8 on which the inner ends of the vanes 9 bear may be fixed to a cover plate or be freely floating. Inlet and outlet ports 3, 4 extend partly round the wall of the pump or motor casing 1 as grooves.
