749,984. Electromagnetically-actuated diaphragm pumps. S. U. CARBURETTER CO., Ltd. Oct. 29,1954, No. 31264/54. Class 102(1). A diaphragm fuel pump has a diaphragm 7 actuated by the armature 5 of an electromagnet 1, the armature being guided by circumferential sets of guiding members 10, 13 arranged each side of the diaphragm and having sphericallyshaped edges which engage coaxial cylindrical surfaces on the casing 3, armature 5 and retaining disc 8. The delivery stroke is effected by the spring 52 and inlet and delivery valves 24, 25 and filter 22 are provided. The switch comprises a fixed contact 34 on a blade 33 and a movable contact on a lever 43 connected by a spring 47 to a lever 44 carried on trunnions 46 threaded to the spindle 6.
