Abstract
891,117. Radial-cylinder pumps. MUNCHNER MOTORZUBEHOR G.m.b.H. Sept. 13, 1960 [Sept. 17, 1959], No. 31536/60. Class 102(1). In a cam-and-lever actuated, radial-cylinder pump the stroke of the piston is varied by moving the fulcrum of an actuating lever 17 relative to the base of the piston. Lever 17 is pivoted on a pintle 14a carried by a rotatable bearing ring 16 and a control disc 14, manually rotatable relative to a pump housing 1 by a handle 14b. Reciprocatory motion of lever 17 is transmitted to a spring loaded piston 8 through a roller 13 which seats in a groove 17b running the length of lever 17. A roller 17a on lever 17 engages a cam surface 4 on a cam shaft 2. A number of pump units, e.g. three, are positioned radially of shaft 2. Liquid enters the pump units from a suction conduit via a liquid-filled chamber 1a, ducts 5a and valves 6a and is delivered via valves 6b, ducts 5b and headers 1b to a delivery conduit. Valves 6a and 6b are spring-loaded. Detents or self-jamming means may be used in conjunction with a scale and pointer for setting control disc 14.
