Abstract

566,614. Lubricators. TRUVOX ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and GOLDHARD, F. K. July 16, 1943, No. 11625. [Class 12 (iii)] A self-lubricating shaft bearing consists of a pressure chamber fed from a supply reservoir by a pump mounted on or directly actuated by the shaft, the oil returning from the bearings to the supply. The shaft 1, Fig. 2, is mounted in a housing 4 and carries a rotary pump 7 which draws oil from the supply 16 to the pressure chamber 8 which is connected by a pipe 9 and oil sights 13 with the bearing .passages. In a modification, Fig. 4, the shaft 1 carries a cam 20 which actuates a plunger 19 with spring 21, check valves 22 being provided.
