A lubricant feeder comprises a body 4 housing a control piston 10, disposed in a bore 9 the ends of which are in communication with two feed pipes 7, 8 through which lubricant under pressure is alternately supplied, and a metering piston 13, disposed in a bore 12 the ends of which are put alternately into communication with a feed pipe 7, 8 or discharge port 15, 16 through conduits 14 according to the position of the control piston 10. As shown in Fig. 1, both pistons are in their lower positions and the cylinders 9, 12 are in communication with feed pipe 7. On reversal of the lubricant supply, lubricant from the feed pipe 8 moves the pistons 10, 13 upwardly, forcing lubricant disposed above the piston 13 to be discharged through port 15. On reversal of the supply again, lubricant from below the piston 13 is discharged through port 16. A projection 19 on the piston 13 engages an adjustable screwed abutment 23 on a cap 20 so that the quantity of lubricant discharged may be regulated. The cap 20 contains a slot 22 through which the movement of the projection 19 may be seen thereby giving visual indication of the operation of the lubricator.
