530,861. Lubricating rotary compressors. RUBURY. J. M., HAMMOND, W. R., and HAMMOND ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. July 3, 1939, No. 19308. [Class 12 (iii)] In a rotary compressor or exhauster of the type comprising a rotor f with radial sliding vanes eccentrically mounted in a cylindrical casing a the casing chamber communicates through a portway j near the delivery port k of the pump with an oil reservoir b. Conduits g, as shown, lead oil to the spindle bearings and to a sight feed lubricator h at the suction side of the pump for lubricating vanes, pressure on the surface of the oil in the reservoir and suction at the suction side of the pump when acting as an exhauster creating a pumping action on the oil. The portway j is controllable by a needle valve l and the feed from the lubricator h is. also adjustable.
