1,008,726. Gear pumps. M. TUROLLA. Oct. 16, 1962 [Nov. 6, 1961; Nov. 23, 1961], No. 39074/62. Heading F1F. A gear pump comprises gears 8, 9 (Fig. 3) having journals 108, 109 carried by pairs of bearing bushes 41 which are prevented from rotating by annular keys 42 lodged between flat faces 141, a pressure-loading chamber 21 communicating with a fluid-discharge duct 5 (Fig 2), through a passage 122, and a sealing ring 44 on a cylindrical carrier-member 43 residing in a bore adjacent chamber 21 to prevent high pressure fluid entering a fluidintake duct 4.
