In a rotating radial cylinder pump of the type having a valve pintle 5 with balancing recesses 18, 19, 20, 21 disposed adjacent the valve ports, the pintle is free to move axially and radially. The port timing may be varied by adjusting the pintle angularly by means of an eccentric peg 15.
