Abstract

938,524. Radial-cylinder pumps. MOTORENFABRIK HATZ G.m.b.H. Feb. 15, 1962 [Feb. 27, 1961], No. 5775/62. Class 102(1). A pump comprises a plurality of pump units 5 arranged in pairs relatively offset along a driving shaft 2, the units of each pair being diametrically opposed and their pistons 8 driven by a single eccentric 2a on the shaft through intermediate rings 12<SP>1</SP>, 12<SP>11</SP> embracing the eccentric, each ring having only one pair of oppposed pistons bearing thereon. Needle bearings 13, 15 may be provided between the rings and the eccentric. The pumping chambers communicate with a suction chamber 1s via an inlet valve 6a and a passage 1s<SP>1</SP>, and with a delivery chamber 1d via an outlet valve 6b and passages 5d, 1d<SP>1</SP>.
