735,230. Fuel-injection systems. USTAV PRO VYZKUM MOTOROVYCH VOZIDEL. BOTTGER, J., RICHTER, A., and KOPLIK, O. May 7, 1952 [June 11, 1951], No. 11525/52. Class 7(3). A fuel injection nozzle 6 is arranged in the cylinder head within a recess which opens into the air intake passage 2 so close to the intake valve 3 that the fuel jet 7 enters the cylinder through the opening between the valve disc 3 and valve seat 4. The fuel jet 7 is directed transversely of the air stream towards the hottest spot of the combustion space e.g. the exhaust valve, and the injection nozzle may be of the open type. Specifications 18140/51 and 733,552 are referred to.
