[Also in Group XXIX] A thermostatic valve device for controlling fluid flow, e.g. in ar engine-cooling system has the valve disc 15 connected to an elastic pressure - -compensating element, e.g. the diaphragm 20, subject tc fluid pressure in the same space as the ther mal element, e.g. the bellows 17, and which acts in a direction op posite to the pressure acting on the valve. The diaphragm is connected by a strap 22 to valves 15, 23 respectively controlling inversely outlets 11, 13.
