779,593. Temperature-responsive actuating-elements. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Sept. 8, 1955 [Sept. 27, 1954], No. 25733/55. Class 64(2) [Also in Group XXIX] In a bellows 56 containing a thermally expansible liquid up to a level X, a cupmember 62 is secured, e.g. as by solder 64, and has an opening 68 which forms a restricted passage for the flow of liquid to dampen the movement of the bellows as it deforms with change of temperature. The bellows is part of a valve (see Group XXIX) controlling flow of coolant in an engine cooling system. Specification 706,386 is referred to.
