962,225. Temperature-responsive actuating- elements. SVENSKA A. B. GASACCUMULATOR. May 3, 1960 [May 5, 1959; Aug. 28, 1959; Sept. 17 1959], No. 49413/63. Divided out of 962,223. Drawings to Specification. Heading G1D. The subject matter of this Specification is substantially the same as that described in Specifications 962, 223 and 962, 224 but the claims relate to a thermally actuated valve and are concerned with a feature of the construction which permits the pressure, of the medium flowing through the valve to be transmitted to those sides of the valve operating piston and the safety piston which are remote from the heat-sensitive substance of the thermostat. It is stated that the design may be such that any fluctuations in the pressure of the medium flowing through the valve are substantially counterbalanced by a resisting pressure set up in the heat-sensitive substance so that the thermostat remains largely independent of pressure changes in the medium flowing through the valve.
