687,011. Thermally-actuated valves. SPERLING, G. June 8, 1950, No. 14352/50. Class 135. A thermostaticallyoperated fluid flow control device comprises a casing having an inlet 5 and at least one outlet, three outlets 6, 7, 8 being shown, and a ported rotatable disc valve 9, controlling the outlet or outlets, rotatable about a fixed spindle 10, the valve being connected to a disc 15 screwing on the spindle, e.g. by the rods 17 passing loosely through holes 16 in the disc, and being operated by the reciprocation of the disc 15 against a spring 18 by the thermostatic bellows 3 connected to a bulb 1. The ports in the valve 9 can be arranged to come simultaneously or one after the other into or out of register with the outlets. The bellows may be replaced by a diaphragm and the connection between the bellows or diaphragm and the disc 15 may be through a lever.
