Abstract
719,275. Fluid-pressure servomotor-control systems; valves. ESCHER, H. Aug. 21, 1953 [Aug. 22, 1952], No. 21181/52. Class 135 In a pilot or relay valve comprising a casing with openings 6, 7, 14 connected, respectively, to a pressure fluid inlet, exhaust, and a pressureresponsive means, e.g. a servomotor, the openings 6, 7 are controlled by valve members 26 which are connected by resilient means to a lever 20 carried by an actuating spindle 16 extending into the casing, and the resilient connections bias the valve members towards the closed position. The members 26 are carried on a leaf spring 37 which is also screwed to the spindle 16. Lever 20 is bent as shown and each arm thereof carries an upstanding pin 28 which passes through the associated valve member, and between the upper end of the pin and the valve member the biasing spring 35 is located. Screw stops 36 carried by the valve members adjust the relationship between the latter and the lever 20. The spindle 16 runs in ball bearings in the casing walls.
