724,381. Glass manufacture. SOC. ANON. DES MANUFACTURES DES GLACES ET PRODUITS CHIMIQUES DE ST.-GOBAIN, CHAUNY & CIREY. Oct. 13, 1953 [Oct. 13, 1952], No. 28197/53. Drawings to Specification. Class 56 Movement is produced in the interior of a bath of molten glass by means of a conduit extending into the glass and having holes at different levels. Gases are introduced into the conduit, making lighter bubbly glass therein which escapes into the bath through a hole at a higher level, its place being taken by heavier glass entering by a lower hole. The conduit may be formed of or covered with a conductor of electricity, e.g. carbon or graphite, and may serve as an electrode.
