719,550. Printing. RUSSELL, J. G. Oct. 8, 1952 [Aug. 7, 1951], No. 18596/51. Class 100 (2). A process of printing comprises repeatedly inking a hectograph surface, applying to the inked surface sheet material so as to leave exposed portions of the surface of the required design, and taking imprints therefrom on to impression-receiving sheets. The applied sheet material may be varnished and dried paper and in the form of stencils, cut-outs, lines, curves or angles. Sheets coated with animal jelly or gelatine can be employed for receiving the impressions. Powdery substance may be applied to the printed areas. According to the Provisional Specification, the powdery substance may be a dye powder and may be applied to a sheet on which an impression has been taken from an uninked hectograph.
