Class 126 An adaptor for a fireplace, to bring the grate forward from its normal position with the fireplace back comprises a refractory unit having sides and a back with a rearwardly extending part at the top of the back so as to set the adaptor forward. The top part 7 of the adaptor back extends to the part 6 of the fireplace back which slopes backwardly to the flue. The interior of the adaptor 4 is shaped to accommodate a grate unit 8 according to Specification 699,816, or other suitable type of grate.
