693,432. Bread-boards. FIELD & CO., Ltd., A. G., and SALMON, H. March 9, 1951 [March 10, 1950], No. 6123/50. Class 28(ii). The slice thickness gauge 12, of a bread board 10 having knife guides 11, comprises a rectangular wire frame 12, 14' with ends 14 bent to obtuse V-shape to carry a pin 15 bearing on the underside of the board and having a rotatable knob 18 whereby the gauge 12 is adjusted along the board. The pin 15 is accommodated in an underslot 16 in the board whereby its traverse along the board is limited by the sides of the slot. A frictional rubber sleeve 17 is provided on 14<SP>1</SP>. The guides 11 may also be adjustable along the board by virtue of the springiness of the bent rods composing it. A side guide 19 is also provided. Cuts 20 are made in the board to accommodate the knife edge.
