1468248 Slicing foodstuffs J HACK 7 Aug 1974 34762/74 Heading A4C Apparatus for slicing foodstuffs consists of a V-section support plate 1 provided with ribs 9 and a pair of vertical guides 2 each provided with a slot 4 for a handled elongate knife, a plate 10 of polygonal shape having an edge 13 which forms a stop to define slice thickness, the plate being supported at each side by a leg 11 with the legs of each side being spaced at different distances from the edge whereby a variety of slice thicknesses may be obtained by positioning the appropriate leg into a recess 12 of the support. Cut slices are received on the plate, and an enlargement at the top of each slot 4 allows a stop at the end of the knife to pass therethrough to withdraw the knife from the guides.
