Abstract

A meat carving board has a back plate against which the meat is pressed, the opposite face of the meat projecting between two vertical knife guides which are carried on a base plate which can be positioned and clamped as desired on the carving board; the base plate also carries a fixed stop-plate set parallel to the guide-bars which are adjustable w. r. t. the stop plate. The stop-plate locates against the face of the meat remote from the back plate and the spacing of the guides from the stop-plate determines the thickness of a meat slice. Detached by moving a carving knife down the front edge of the guides. Assists hand carving of meat with manual or electric carving knife. Produces meat slices of regular pre-selected thickness.
