Abstract
691,770. Bed-settees. NOSAG SPRING CO. (GREAT BRITAIN), Ltd. (No-Sag Spring Co.). Feb. 25, 1952 [May 11, 1951], No..11160/51. Class 52(ii) A bed-settee comprises a back constructed to swing about a swivel device connected at each side to the back intermediate its ends and to the fixed framework, a seat hinged to a third section normally loused in inverted position beneath the seat and tne third section is pivoted to the fixed framework so that it may be reversed to lie between the back and the seat when the latter is opened out about the hinges thereof. As shown the back A is carried by a swivel device comprising at each side a pair of links 3, 4 pivoted to mounting plates 5, 8, the seat section B is pivoted by butt hinges 9, 11 to the third section C which is pivoted at 10 to a mounting plate 12 on the fixed framework 1 and the seat section B is provided at each side with a leg 15 linked to the third section C whereby the legs are automatically brought into in-use position and retracted respectively when the bedsettee is extended to bed position and retracted to settee position respectively. In the settee position the third section C lies underneath the seat section B in reversed position.
