Abstract

762,065. Push chairs. JENKINS, C. W. T., and JENKINS, T. H. May 4, 1955, No. 12900/55. Class 108(1). A push chair has a seat back 10 hinged to side frames 12 at points 11 which may be held in an inclined position, Fig. 1, by extended toggle links 14, 15. To raise the back from the inclined position the common pivot point 17 is first lifted to fold the links 14, 15, the back 10 is then moved forwardly to lie alongside the sides 12, and the folded links 14, 15 are then moved downwardly and backwardly to an overset locking position, Fig. 3, in which position the back is between the frames 12 and stops 18 on each link 14 engage the frames.
