Abstract

762,047. Push chairs. JENKINS, C. W. T. and JENKINS, T. H. May 25, 1955 [Aug. 11, 1954], No. 23303/54. Class 108(1). A push chair which may be folded by pivoting a handle 17 about a point 18 to collapse pivoted frame links 10, 11, 13, and 16 may be held locked in the extended position by a pair of links 23, 25 on each side. In this position the links are overset and rest against stops formed by sleeves surrounding the pivots 15. To collapse the chair, the link 23, which is U-shaped and extends across the back to form a link of the other link pair, is raised to move the aligned pivots 24 upwardly and bring the links to an underset position shown dotted, thus permitting the handle 17 to pivot.
