Abstract

689,675. Two-stroke engines; valves. BENELLI, G. Sept. 10, 1951 [Sept. 22, 1950], No. 21311/51. Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (vi). Combustible mixture for transfer to the cylinder 1 via passages 9 is induced into the crankcase 5 from a central chamber 13 in a crank disc 4 both through one or more openings 20 in the inner wall of the chamber 13 and through passages 14 acting as centrifugal pumps at high engine speeds. The inner chamber wall may be constituted by a washer 19 replaceable by others with different sized central openings 20. The chamber 13 is supplied via a passage 12 and coacting ports 10, 11 acting as a valve.
