Class 20(iii) A window opening mechanism comprises a slotted tube 6 mounted for longitudinal movement on T-section brackets 9, 12 and 13 and connected at its upper end by means of a bracket 5 with a link 4 for operating the window 2, a handle 18 being rotatably mounted on the lower end of the tube and having a bearing with a tongue 28 adapted to engage in one of a series of slots 14, 15 and 16 formed in the bracket 13 to secure the window in a predetermined position. A fixed collar 17 is provided to limit the downward movement of the tube 6.
