Class 137 Mechanism for adjusting the inclination of louvres pivoted about horizontal axes in an opening comprises an operating bar 10 which is vertically slidable within a mullion 11 and coupled by webs 15 to louvre clips 14, pins 16 on the webs 15 working in slots 17 in the bar 10 which is raised or lowered by rotating a pinion 18 disposed between the bar 10 and the mullion to mesh with a rack 19 on the bar 10. Pins 12 on the mullion 11 pass through slots 13. in the bar 10 to guide the latter during vertical movement. The pinion 18 carrying an operating handle 22, has a spindle 20, one end of which projects into a slot 21 in the bar 10, the other end being rotatably mounted in the mullion 11.
