718,872. Windows. A.M.S. CORPORATION. Jan. 7, 1953 [Jan. 21, 1952; Oct. 30, 1952], No. 497/53. Class 20 (3) The sashes 16, 17 are hinged adjacent their lower edges to stiles 25, 26 which are slidable vertically along stationary guides 21, 22 whereby the sashes may be swung into the room at any vertically open position. Means are provided to prevent sliding movement unless the sashes are vertical. The sashes are connected by links 35 to runners 37 slidably mounted within the stiles and carrying latches 51, or other means, coacting with a stationary rack bar 50 within the stiles to lock the sashes in any one of a number of inclined positions. The links pass through longitudinal slots'along the stiles.
