Abstract

1448860 Windows GRETSCH-UNITAS GmbH BAUBESCHLAGFABRIK 7 Dec 1973 [7 Dec 1972] 56915/73 Heading E1J A window has a wing supported by lower arms 9 (Figs. 2-4) and upper arms 10 (Figs. 5-7), each arm having pivotable connections 25, 8 to the main frame and the wing respectively, each arm having a T-shaped or Y-shaped slot receiving a movable control pin 11, 12 and a further slot receiving locking pin 13, 14. The control and locking pins are moved together by rod (20) slidably mounted on the sash. When rod 20 is moved down the pins move in the slots so that upper arm 10 is pivoted (Fig. 6) and the wing is tilted. Further downward movement causes pivoting of the lower arm 9 (Fig. 4) and further pivoting of upper arm 10 (Fig. 7) and the wing assumes a position spaced from and parallel to its closed position. The wing may then be slid vertically, pin 25 running in a guide groove in the main frame.
