Abstract

1508600 Pivotable sliding windows H K BRAID (D J DINSMORE CO) 24 April 1975 [18 Nov 1974] 49888/74 Heading EIJ In a double - hung sash window the sashes are supported by counter - balanced sliding units 16 via a cam 26 and a spigot piece 17. To tilt the window the spring catches 33 are withdrawn and the sash tilted so that the cam 26 rotates and forces the locking piece 24 into contact with the channel 21, 22. The window can then be cleaned or brought into a horizontal position and completely removed.
