Class 20(3) [Also in Group XXV] A sliding-pivoted window is horizontally pivoted at the upper corners on spring pressed shoes which slide in vertical channels in the window frame and is supported in the open position by stays 7 pivoted to the side of the sash and the window jamb at 12 and 8 respectively, the pivot 8 taking the form of a trunnion the frictional resistance of which is adjustable (see Group XXV). The window is locked in the closed position by espagnollette bars.
